IVX Volatility Monitor provides an intraday IVIndex (IVX), a VIX-like measure for US securities and exchange traded instruments. Now you can get online access to volatility readings.

Service includes Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq and other equities markets benchmarks, S&P, Eurodollar, Gold, Oil and other futures products.

Intra day you can monitor IVX 30 day, its change from the previous close and comparison to 1 Year’s High/Low Values.

What is the difference between IVIndex and VIX?

They say about the difference at http://www.ivolatility.com/news.j?nid=114&x=14&y=7 , guess by meaning they are the same but IVX is an estimate for individual name while VIX is only for S&P 500 index

Currently we provide only MS Vista and Mac OS gadgets. If you're using these systems then download the gadget and double click on the downloaded file. there seems to be a lot of noise in the data, spikes that i know are not actually there, maybe because the calculator is just using the midpoint of the bid/offers on the atm strikes? it would probably be worthwhile to implement some smoothing algorithms to filter out the bad prints - i have several years of professional options trading and software development experience and would be happy to help out if appropriate

Kevin, thanks for the feedback, yes, we are using midpoint of the ATM strikes. give us example of the spikes please, will double check. thanks

we will be launching soon the new version of IVXMonitor where you can change the instruments list and add more
